Senator Walsh brings Net Zero Economy Authority to Gippsland

Senator Jess Walsh joined local leaders, unions, industry representatives, and education institutions for a roundtable discussion with the Net Zero Economy Authority (NZEA) in Gippsland.  

Hosted by the Committee for Gippsland and Senator Jess Walsh, the event focused on Gippsland’s clean energy future and how NZEA can support the region’s transformation. 

The roundtable provided an opportunity for local stakeholders to engage directly with the NZEA, who shared their experiences and insights on how the Authority can play a key role in Gippsland’s economic transition. 

The discussions highlighted the importance of securing long-term, well-paying jobs in emerging industries such as renewable energy, and supply chains in the region. 

The NZEA, established to prioritise regions in economic transition like Gippsland, is collaborating with unions, employers and government bodies to ensure no community is left behind.
