Our renewables plan is super-charging Australia’s grid, with 42% renewable energy on track for this year. ⚡

More than 7 gigawatts of NEW renewable energy is coming, with half from new large-scale wind and solar. ☀

This is progress to be proud of.

And it’s not just energy capacity that’s growing in Gippsland, Australia’s first offshore wind zone.

Community capacity is building too, including:

📣 The founding of the Gippsland Offshore Wind Alliance to unite broad and diverse partners to build this new industry from the ground up.
📣 GLaWAC’s new Pathways to Partnership plan to support Gunaikurnai economic empowerment and self-determination today, and for generations to come.
📣 Federation University Australia’s Asia Pacific Renewable Energy Training Centre expansion to the region, providing skills and training for the future.

Gippsland has commitment from not only our Government, but from stakeholders across the region for a new energy future.

And genuine community capacity like this is so important, because renewable energy isn’t just about reliably powering our grid.

It’s about local jobs, investment, and prosperity for regions like Gippsland today, and for generations to come.
