Senator Jess Walsh and the Committee for Gippsland will partner today to host a roundtable on the Gippsland region’s capacity to become a renewable powerhouse.
The Albanese Labor Government acknowledges that the best opportunities for Australia and its people lie at the intersection of industry, energy, resources, skills, and our ability to attract and deploy investment.
The roundtable will bring together local community organisations, education providers, local manufacturers, offshore wind developers and energy providers to discuss investment opportunities in the region.
As Australia charts a renewable path, collaboration with relevant bodies and stakeholders is pivotal to securing the Albanese Government’s Future Made in Australia plan.
The Roundtable will focus on topics such as:
- The Net Zero Economy Authority
- The Future Made in Australia Act
- Our $15 billion National Reconstruction Fund
- The Gippsland regions offshore wind potential
Through the Future Made in Australia plan, the Albanese Government aims to bring new jobs and opportunities to regions like Gippsland across the nation.
Today’s roundtable will facilitate open dialogue on Gippsland’s ability to lead the way in powering Victoria and Australia.
