Early Childhood Educators Day 2025

Meeting dedicated educators like Leanne, Nazish, and Cathy is one of my favourite parts of this job.

They’re the backbone of the sector, and their voices need to be heard here in Parliament.

For Early Childhood Educators’ Day, I hosted the three of them for morning tea here in Canberra.

They told me that, on the back of our historic 15% pay rise, they feel that their work is finally being properly recognised.

That they can stay in the sector, doing the jobs they love, and building careers in early childhood education.

There’s more to do, and I look forward meeting with many more committed educators like these three amazing women.
