Sworn in as Minister for Early Childhood Education and Minister for Youth

I am so proud to have been sworn in today by the Governor General as Minister for Early Childhood Education and Minister for Youth.

Quality early education transforms lives.

In our first term, Ministers Jason Clare MP and Dr. Anne Aly laid the strong foundations for a truly universal, affordable early education system.

And there’s more fantastic work ahead to:

– Deliver our commitment to a 3-day guarantee of early education for every child

– Roll out our $1 billion Building Early Education Fund for more centres in areas of need

– Champion an early education workforce that is respected and recognised

Because early learning matters.

And in the Youth portfolio, I look forward to engaging young people to shape the government policies and programs that matter to them.

I’m ready to go, alongside our outstanding Albanese Labor Government team.
