Our biggest asset in early learning is our educators.

That was crystal clear when Jason Clare MP, local MP Zhi Soon and I visited Goodstart Narwee in Sydney.

The passionate, dedicated team at this exceeding quality standards centre work hard every day to give the children in their service a great start in life.

We want more people like Assistant Director Nikki Bunch and the educators here to pursue a career in early learning.

That’s why we’ve add early learning qualifications to Labor’s Free TAFE courses and provided a historic 15% pay rise for early educators.

Goodstart was the first provider to sign on to deliver that historic pay rise, and Dr Ros Baxter tells me its now paying dividends.

More outstanding Goodstart educators are staying in the jobs they love, providing long-term, stable connections with children.
