College Community Child Care Centre in Bunbury provides more than early learning.
It’s a hub at the heart of thriving families in this south-west WA town.
Co-located with South Regional TAFE, educators benefit from Free TAFE while bringing local connections to their work.
And while I was visiting, WA Country Health was on site providing free parenting classes – available to everyone in the community.
As dedicated director Shalini told me, her service is delivering high quality early learning that sees the whole child in their family and community context.
It’s clear why this centre has received an exceeding NQS rating in collaborative partnerships with families and communities – and why educators love coming to work here.
Educators like the team I met at College Community go above and beyond – and their pay should reflect that.
That’s why early childhood educators will receive the second part of our historic 15% pay rise from 1 December.
Huge thanks to director Shalini, educator Lily, and the whole team for your commitment to early childhood education and care – giving children a great start in life.
