Child and Family Hubs can be a game changer, especially for children and families with more complex challenges.
They bring together quality early learning with the health, social and community services that help families thrive.
Hubs help us see the whole child in their family and community context, and promote coordination across professions to give children the best start.
Having had the privilege to meet the hard-working teams at Bubup Wilam Aboriginal Child and Family Centre in Thomastown and Jindi Family and Community Centre in Whittlesea, it’s clear that the hub model is getting results.
Huge thanks to the National Child and Family Hubs Network for inviting me to share my thoughts at the opening of your conference in Melbourne, and to Professor Sharon Goldfeld AM and the whole team for all the important work you do.
I look forward to continuing our work together!
