Early Learning Matters Week 2025

In the short time I’ve been Minister for Early Childhood Education, I’ve met early educators from all over the country who do amazing work.

I also know the past few months have been difficult for early childhood educators.

I want educators everywhere to know just how much I, and the Government, value the work that you do.

That’s why last week, during Early Learning Matters Week, we announced a big package of reforms to support educators to keep children safe and close the door on those who seek to do harm.

It’s why we’re investing in a historic 15 per cent pay rise, to help educators stay in the jobs they love and keep delivering the safe, quality early learning that our children need to thrive.

And it’s why I joined Early Childhood Australia and Parliamentary Friends of Early Childhood Education to celebrate another successful Early Learning Matters Week.
