Quality early education is what every child deserves – no matter their postcode, or what their parents do.

So it was a privilege to join passionate advocates at the National Early Years Policy Summit.

I spoke about the transformative potential of universal early education to ensure every child can grow, learn and be ready for their school journey and life ahead.

We’re working to build that future – investing in four key pillars of quality early learning:

– A stable, respected workforce – supported by our 15% pay rise.

– More affordable early education and care – with our changes to the Child Care Subsidy and 3 Day Guarantee.

– More centres in areas that need them most, like outer suburbs and regions – with our $1 billion Building Early Education Fund.

– Higher quality across the sector with our workforce investments, alongside tough new rules on safety.

Thank you to the National Early Years Policy Summit for the opportunity to share our Government’s vision with an audience of leaders and changemakers dedicated to reform.
